Moving brings you back to the moment you are in and snap out of your dream
Iraq, 2006, a Private refused to leave the room, he is scared, we all are. Behind him, on the wall, pictures of his wife and kids. He is afraid he will never see them again. He does not want to die. So he refuses to leave the room and faces the pictures of his family. I make him leave, I make him stand up and move. Moving brings you back to the moment you are in and snap out of your dream. I carefully take off the pictures from the wall. If his mind is not in the present he will endanger himself and his colleagues. I make him walk. Walk, talk and I give him tasks to busy his mind. Now he has to concentrate and his mind, lost in the past, gets distracted and he has to focus on now, the task at hand and come back to the present.
Personal training, good personal training, goes along with personal growth. The aim is not only to improve you physically but to make you happier, more capable and confident in everything you do. The hardest part with any training is to start, to take the first steps, to snap out of the dream, to look forward and begin to make your goals reality.
There is no separation between body and mind, the strength your body feels, will be the strength of your mind.
